Everts, the balloon company, was founded in 1924 by Wilhelm Everts, specializing in balloon printing and novelty distribution. Starting in 1965, the company began manufacturing its own balloons in Datteln, Germany. Additional printing facilities were established in the United Kingdom, and in 1987, a second production site was set up in Malaysia.
In 1997, C. Riethmüller GmBH acquired Everts before it was sold to Amscan Inc. in 2011. As part of the world's largest party goods group, Amscan, Everts now produces natural latex balloons in its Malaysian factory.
